Area under kharif crops decreases:
• On August 22, 2021, As per the data released by Agriculture Ministry , Area under kharif crops such as paddy observe a marginal reduce of 1.55 per cent at 1,043.87 lakh hectares in the ongoing monsoon season.
• Also, the Ministry marked that, kharif crops reduced due to “deficient, scattered or erratic rainfall at the beginning of monsoon season”.

India’s Highest Herbal Park opened near Indo-China border:
