21st August is World Senior Citizen Day:
• On August 21 each year, World Senior Citizen Day is observed globally.
• This day is celebrated to increase awareness about problems affecting older people, such as worsening with age and the abuse of the elderly and support, honor and exhibit appreciation to senior citizens and understand their achievements.
ஆகஸ்ட் 21 உலக மூத்த குடிமக்கள் தினம்:
• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஆகஸ்ட் 21 அன்று, உலக மூத்த குடிமக்கள் தினம் உலகளவில் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
• வயது முதிர்ந்தவர்களைப் பாதிக்கும் பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் வயது முதிர்ந்தவர்களை துஷ்பிரயோகம் செய்வதை தடுத்தல் மற்றும் மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்கு ஆதரவு, மரியாதை மற்றும் பாராட்டு மற்றும் அவர்களின் சாதனைகளைப் புரிந்துகொள்வது போன்ற விழிப்புணர்வு அதிகரிக்க இந்த நாள் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

• 21st August each and every year United Nations observes as the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism.
• This day is remembered to pay tribute to the people throughout the world who have been attacked, injured, misplaced their lives because of terrorist attacks.

• On 19 August, World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is observed each and every year.
• This day is celebrated to honor humanitarian personnel and these workers who lost or risked their lives while doing humanitarian service.
• In 2021 we are celebrating the twelfth World Humanitarian Day.
