Rice Fortification:
• To honor the ongoing 4th Rashtriya Poshan Mah, the Food and Public Distribution Department of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and the Ministry of Women and Child Development combined together conducted a webinar on rice fortification.
• At the rice fortification, micronutrients are added to everyday rice keeping in mind the dietary requirements.

Transport and Marketing Assistance Scheme:
• “Transportation and Marketing Assistance” (TMA) scheme for specific agricultural products was recently revised by the Center.
• Also, this revised scheme is expected to build up assistance to help Indian agricultural exporters products with increasing freight and logistics costs.
