18th July is Nelson Mandela International Day:
• Every year, The UN celebrates July 18 as Nelson Mandela International Day.
• This day honors Nelson Mandela’s contribution to the fight for democracy and the development of a culture of peace all over the globe.
ஜூலை 18 நெல்சன் மண்டேலா சர்வதேச தினம்:
• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும், ஐ.நா. ஜூலை 18 ஐ நெல்சன் மண்டேலா சர்வதேச தினமாக கொண்டாடுகிறது.
• இந்த நாள் ஜனநாயகத்திற்கான போராட்டத்திற்கும் உலகம் முழுவதும் அமைதி கலாச்சாரத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் நெல்சன் மண்டேலாவின் பங்களிப்பை மதிக்கிறது.
Bye-Election in the Council of States:
• In West Bengal, there happened a casual vacancy in the Council of States because of the member’s sudden resignation before his term expired.
• The election needs to be conducted to fill a vacancy arising otherwise than by retirement of a member on the expiration of their service of office is called as Bye-election.
மாநில சபையில் இடைத்தேர்தல்:
• மேற்கு வங்கத்தில், உறுப்பினர்களின் பதவிக்காலம் முடிவடைவதற்கு முன்னர் திடீரென ராஜினாமா செய்ததால், மாநில கவுன்சிலில் ஒரு சாதாரண காலியிடம் ஏற்பட்டது.

• A new Digital Platform was launched for farmers named ‘Kisan Sarathi’.
