18th May is World AIDS Vaccine Day:
• May 18th is World AIDS Vaccine Day, also considered as HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) Vaccine Awareness Day.
• This day was celebrated to honor the thousands of volunteers, health professionals, community leaders, and scientists who jointly developed the AIDS vaccine.

• மே 18 உலக எய்ட்ஸ் தடுப்பூசி தினம், இது எச்.ஐ.வி (மனித நோயெதிர்ப்பு குறைபாடு வைரஸ்) தடுப்பூசி விழிப்புணர்வு தினமாகவும் கருதப்படுகிறது.

Air India’s Zeolite Cargo Flight Service:
• The National Airline of India has initiated its first “zeolite cargo flight”.
• Also, the Indian government has started to import zeolite from all over the world for use in medical oxygen plants.

• இந்திய தேசிய விமான நிறுவனம் தனது முதல் “ஜியோலைட் சரக்கு விமானத்தை” துவக்கியுள்ளது .

• This year Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Minister of Education of the Union gets International Invincible Gold Medal.
• Also, his books, society, and excellent public life are recognized for his marvelous dedication and outstanding contributions to mankind.

• இந்த ஆண்டு மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் ரமேஷ் போக்ரியால் நிஷாங்கிற்கு சர்வதேச வெல்ல முடியாத தங்கப் பதக்கம் கிடைக்கிறது.
• மேலும், அவரது அற்புதமான அர்ப்பணிப்பு மற்றும் மனிதகுலத்திற்கான சிறந்த பங்களிப்புகளுக்காக அவரது புத்தகங்கள், சமூகம் மற்றும் சிறந்த பொது வாழ்க்கை ஆகியவை அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
Breakthrough Infection:
• Recently, public health experts have announced that the increase in “breakthrough infections” in the country may be due to the mutant varieties.
• The Breakthrough infections are the COVID-19 virus (or any other virus) is found in a person who has received two (or prescribed number) doses of vaccines.
• After the second dose, The person gets infected with the COVID-19 virus.
திருப்புமுனை தொற்று:
• சமீபத்தில், பொது சுகாதார வல்லுநர்கள் நாட்டில் “திருப்புமுனை நோய்த்தொற்றுகள்” அதிகரிப்பது பிறழ்ந்த வகைகள் காரணமாக இருக்கலாம் என்று அறிவித்துள்ளனர்.

Govt revised norms on imports of pulses:
• Recently, The Government of India has allowed free import of tur, moong, and urad dal.
• All three pulses have been allowed put under a non-restricted list.
• Because their retail prices increased in the last few weeks due to low stock levels with the traders.
• Also, the GoI has said that, before November 30, 2021, the import consignments should be cleared strictly.

• Recently, Iran has launched its supercomputer called Simorgh.
• Also, This supercomputer is considered a hundred times more powerful than the previous Iranian supercomputers.
• The Supercomputer is to be mainly used for image processing, artificial intelligence workload, traffic, and weather data.
