Cabinet has approved Deep Ocean Mission:
• Recently, Union Cabinet has approved the ‘Deep Ocean Mission’ proposed by the Ministry of Earth Sciences to conduct study on biodiversity, the effect of climate change, and to initiate an offshore marine station in order to explore sources of thermal energy.
• This mission will survey the Deep Ocean with resources and assist in the development of deep-sea technologies for able to maintain the use of ocean resources.

Japan planned to issue COVID-19 Vaccine Passport:
• Japan has planned to make a vaccine passport available from next month for Japanese travelers in an offer to relaunch tourism and business trips abroad.
• This will be a paper-based certificate rather than a digital one.
• It will be issued only by local governments from next month.
