• On August 7, Textile Ministry is celebrating the 7th National Handloom Day.
• On August 7, 2015, First National Handloom Day was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chennai.

• ஆகஸ்ட் 7 அன்று, ஜவுளி அமைச்சகம் 7 வது தேசிய கைத்தறி தினத்தை கொண்டாடுகிறது.
• ஆகஸ்ட் 7, 2015 அன்று, முதல் தேசிய கைத்தறி தினம் சென்னையில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடியால் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
‘PM-DAKSH Mobile App’ launched:
• On August 7, 2021, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, is to launch the ‘PM-DAKSH’ Portal and ‘PM-DAKSH’ Mobile App in Nalanda Auditorium at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, Delhi.
• The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, coordinated with the National e-governance Division (NeGD), has developed this portal.
• This Portal and app have been mainly created to make skill development schemes accessible to target groups of Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes.
‘PM-DAKSH மொபைல் ஆப்’ தொடங்கப்பட்டது:
• ஆகஸ்ட் 7, 2021 அன்று, மத்திய சமூக நீதி மற்றும் அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறை அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் வீரேந்திர குமார், டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் சர்வதேச மையத்தில், நாளந்தா ஆடிட்டோரியத்தில் ‘PM-DAKSH’ போர்டல் மற்றும் ‘PM-DAKSH’ மொபைல் செயலியை அறிமுகப்படுத்த உள்ளார்.

• Recently, Thailand has banned sunscreens containing chemicals that spoil coral from all of its marine national parks.
• Sun protection cream used by tourists is injuring slow-growing corals in the Island nation.

Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan :
• On August 7, 2021, the government has released a statement that around five crore beneficiaries have been registered and four crores have been trained under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan Scheme as per the report of August 2, 2021.
• Also, the government had fixed the target of reaching six crore households by March 2022.
கிராமப்புற டிஜிட்டல் எழுத்தறிவு பிரச்சாரம்:
