Mera Ghar Mere Naam Scheme:
• On 17 October, Mera Ghar Mera Naam scheme was initiated by the Punjab Chief Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi.
• This scheme was initiated to give ownership rights to the people living in lal lakir, part of village residency used for non-agricultural purposes, of cities and villages.

• அக்டோபர் 17 அன்று, மேரா கர் மேரா நாம் திட்டத்தை பஞ்சாப் முதல்வர் சரண்ஜித் சிங் சன்னி தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

New Defense Companies for India:
• On 15 October, Seven new defense companies were allocated to India by the Defense Ministry.
• On 1 October, all these companies started operating, as the government decided to convert the 200-year-old OFB government department to seven 100 per cent government-owned corporate entities.

‘One Health Consortium’ initiated by the Government:
• On 14 October, One Health Consortium was initiated virtually by Dr Renu Swarup, Secretary of the Department of Biotechnology.
• It mainly focus to control surveillance of significant viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections of zoonotic and transboundary pathogens in India.
