BHIMUPI Launched: Bhutan
• In Bhutan, BHIM–UPI was initiated.
• On this occasion, India’s Finance Minister said that the services have started in Bhutan as part of India’s “neighborhood first” policy.
• BHIM UPI is considered one of the highlights of digital transactions in India during the COVID-19 pandemic and is also known as an achievement, having created more than 100 million UPI QRs in the last 5 years.

• பூட்டானில், BHIM-UPI தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
• இந்த சந்தர்ப்பத்தில், இந்தியாவின் “அண்டை முதல்” கொள்கையின் ஒரு பகுதியாக பூட்டானில் சேவைகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன என்று இந்திய நிதியமைச்சர் கூறினார்.

UV-C Disinfection Technology:

Soil-Less Agriculture:
• The Mission Turmeric 2021, a drive led by a former naval officer also who is an expert in soil-less agriculture, has been currently in progress.
• It plans to start an “orange revolution” by teaching people how to grow turmeric in shade houses in big bags (large porous containers made of high-density polyethylene) packed with coco-peat (made from the pith of the coconut husk) substitute of soil.

Retail Direct Gilt Accounts Scheme:
• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a new scheme for retail investors that will allow retail investors to open retail direct gilt accounts (RDG) directly with the central bank.
• The RBI Retail Direct facility was initiated as part of ongoing efforts to raise retail participation in government securities in February 2021.

• VIPER is an abbreviation for Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover, and also it is a mobile robot.

First Green Hydrogen Mobility Project:
• Recently, NTPC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UT of Ladakh and the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) to initiate India’s first Green Hydrogen Mobility project.
• Also, this will be considered the first city (Leh) in India to implement a zero-emission green hydrogen mobility project.
