La Soufriere volcano erupted:
Recently, the La Soufriere volcano on the eastern island of the Caribbean Sea erupted. The volcano forced thousands of people from surrounding villages to move out.
Since 1979, the volcano has dormant. It started to show signs of activity in December 2020. When the volcano erupted in 1979, it caused a hundred million in damage. Before the eruption in 1979, La Soufriere breaks out in 1902 and killed thousands of people. In French Language, La Soufriere means “Sulphur sale”. It has broken out five times since 1718.

African Swine Fever :
A suspected disease of African swine fever (ASF) has been killed 276 domestic pigs in the Longri region of Mizoram. As part of preventive measures, local authorities restricted the procurement and supply of live pigs from the affected areas and the surrounding areas.

World Energy Transition Outlook :
Recently, The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has released the “World Energy Transition Outlook” report.
The report proposed an energy conversion solution for the straight path that can be used to control the temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The COVID-19 suffering has provides countries with unexpected opportunities to decouple the economies of the country from fossil fuels and accelerate the shift to renewable energy. By the estimation of 2050, renewable energy will meet 90% of total electricity demand, followed by natural gas, and the rest will come from nuclear energy.
