BRICS Finance Ministers Meet:
The BRICS countries are an abbreviation for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Recently, India has hosted the BRICS Finance Ministers’ Meeting. This is the first meeting of the BRICS countries under the support of India in 2021. As the chairman of the BRICS countries in 2021, India’s main goal is to focus on cooperation within the BRICS based on the following: continuity, consolidation, consensus.

Flash Flood in Indonesia :
In eastern Indonesia, Landslides and flash floods caused by heavy rains, and it causes 41 people are killed and displaced thousands. Flash Flood means floods that occur within six hours of heavy rain. These are noted as highly localized events with a short duration. However, flash floods sometimes may occur within a few minutes or within a few hours after the heavy rain.

MoU signed between India and Japan for Academic and Research Cooperation:
Recently, The Union Cabinet informed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed between India and Japan. The MoU was signed between the National Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NARL) and The GoI and the Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere called the RISH,Japan.
According to the MoU signed between the NARL and RISH will continue their cooperation in the following areas: (1) Technology, atmospheric sciences, (2) collaborative scientific experiments (3) related modelling studies.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying:
Recently, The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying who is operating under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and the Ministry of AYUSH signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate the concept of Ayurveda and its combined disciplines into veterinary science.
The teamwork between the ministries will help to improve a regulatory mechanism for the use of Ayurveda in the veterinary sector.
Also, It will focus on capacity building in related areas through the training program.

Recently The Singapore scientists have developed a technology to interact with plants. The technology was named “Robot Plant”.
This technology helps to control the plants using the smartphone applications.
In the future, this technology can be used to enable farmers to detect diseases in plants.

Recently, The Union Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has launched the Madhukranti portal and Honey Corners of NAFED to encourage the Honey Mission in India.
Mainly The portal has been developed to achieve the traceability source of honey & bee hive products on the digital platform.
Also, this platform will help in checking the quality and source of honey.
