Zydus Cadila’s needle-free Covid-19 vaccine:
• India is ready to get its sixth Covid-19 vaccine ‘ZyCoV-D’ soon as drug firm Zydus Cadila’s needle-free Covid-19 vaccine is all set to get emergency use authorization (EUA) approval.
• This company conducted the largest clinical trial for its COVID-19 vaccine in India across 50 centers.

• இந்த நிறுவனம் இந்தியாவில் கோவிட் -19 தடுப்பூசியின் மிகப்பெரிய மருத்துவ பரிசோதனையை 50 மையங்களில் நடத்தியது.

• A drawing competition for children aged between six to15 will be conducted by the Postal department.
• This drawing contest is being conducted for designing special covers under the ‘COVID-19 vaccination’ theme.

Mixed Covishield & Covaxin doses produce better immunity:
• In a study, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) found that a combination of Covid immunization routine, with a dose of Covishield followed by one of Covaxin, is safe and produces a better immune response as compared by taking the two doses of any of the two vaccines.
• This mixed vaccine will also help in overcoming the challenges of shortage of particular vaccines and eliminates fear associated with vaccines in people’s minds.

Ujjwala-2 scheme from UP:
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated the second edition of the government’s free LPG connection scheme named Ujjwala.
• Under this scheme, migrants will not submit ration cards or address proof to get the LPG cylinders. Also, a self-declaration would be used as a “family declaration” and considered as “proof of address.
