Know TNPSC Exam Types:

Before applying for Tamil Nadu TNPSC Examination, you need to know about examination type conducted by the TNPSSC Board. Firstly, exam pattern, syllabus and preparation changes based on the examination.

TNPSC Group 1:

TNPSC Group 1 is higher level examination and it’s conducted for senior level jobs in Tamil Nadu Government sectors.

Educational Qualification: Any Degree

Age:

  • Minimum – 21 years.
  • Maximum – 30 (Other Category) / 35 (SC, SCA, ST, MBC, DNC, BC, BCM & DW)
  • Differently abled – 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed.

Exam Pattern: Prelims & Mains

  • Prelims (Objective Type) – General Studies – 200 Questions (300 Marks; 3 Hours)
  • Mains (Written)
    • Paper I – 300 Marks ; 3 Hours
    • Paper II – 300 Marks ; 3 Hours
    • Paper III – 300 Marks ; 3 Hours
    • Interview – 120 Marks

  • Computer Preference for Typist & Steno: “Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation” by the Technical Education Department.
